Detail-Packed Easley Kitchen Remodel
If you’re looking for Kitchen Remodeling in SC, you know you want every detail done right. Casey & Amy were looking for a kitchen design that functioned better for hosting and day-to-day use. They’d worked with contractors who left projects unfinished, didn’t communicate well, and ran over budget. When they met our team, they knew they’d found a contractor they could trust!
Planning a Dream Kitchen in Easley SC
Like all of our projects, this kitchen remodel began with a Professional Service Agreement. During this phase, our Design Team interviewed our clients to fully understand their needs and vision for the space. Their existing kitchen was small and cramped – we talked through options of expanding into the dining room and adding more countertop space and island seating. Then, we measured their home and drew up plans for the new design.
For a project like this, design and planning are key. Expanding into the dining room required removing a load-bearing wall, repairing and blending the hardwoods, and ensuring proper cabinet layout and walkways. Our design team created Renderings to show what the space would look like, and our clients received a Fixed-Price Quote so that they knew exactly what their investment would be!
Out With the Old: Kitchen Demo & Renovation
With a detailed plan in place, our Production Team got to work demoing old cabinetry, countertops, light fixtures, etc. To remove the load-bearing wall, we added temporary support walls, demoed the old studs, installed a support beam to carry the weight, and removed the temporary supports. New boards were woven into the gaps left in hardwood floors. Rough-ins were next: rerouting and updating plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Then, it was time to bring the space to life with all-new cabinetry and finishes.
Semi-Custom Cabinets for Maximum Functionality
The heart of kitchen design is in the cabinetry, and a strategic design makes all the difference in the functionality of a kitchen! We brought cabinets up to the ceiling to Maximize Storage and used two different lines to get a two-toned look. Built-in drawers, spice racks, and charging stations add another level of practicality. We accomplished this with semi-custom cabinets (vs Full Custom), saving our clients thousands!
Coffee Bar: A Must-Have Kitchen Feature
This is a must-have Kitchen Feature for families who like to host. The coffee bar offers more space for your coffee station to expand, and gives back that kitchen countertop space you’ve been missing. It functions as another hotspot for guests to gather around. Plus, extra shelving and cabinets are never a bad thing! Our clients love having this dedicated space for their family gatherings.
It’s All in the Details: Lighting, Tile, and Finishes
When working with a Custom Builder, no feature or finish is off limits! Detail is packed into every corner of this project. Here are just a few of our favorite elements:
Layered Lighting – We included new canned lights, sconces over the sink & stove, unique pendant lights above the island, and under-cabinet lighting. This allows you to adjust the lighting to create the perfect mood.
Floating Shelves – These shelves above the sink make the perfect spot for potted plants and cookbooks. The little brass gallery rail coordinates with the finishes throughout the kitchen.
Herringbone Tile – Setting tile in a pattern like this adds visual interest while keeping it classic!
Faux Beams – These wood beams on the ceiling bring warmth and texture to the room and pull everything together!
Best of all – this space is exactly what our clients envisioned. Ready to start your kitchen remodel in Easley SC? Contact Ferguson Builders today to schedule a consultation!
