INITIAL CONSULTATION
Your story with Ferguson Builders begins when you contact us by phone or through our Contact Form to schedule an Initial Consultation.
Our Project Planner will meet with you at your home to discuss the details of the project (scope of work, timeframe, budget, etc.) Our focus is to understand your frustrations with the space so that we give accurate feedback on the solutions we can provide.
If we both sense that we are good fit, we will move forward with our Professional Services Agreement (PSA).
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT (PSA)
REMODELS, RENOVATIONS & ADDITIONS
Once the PSA is signed, we perform a site analysis, document the existing space, draft floor plans, create detailed renderings, and develop a comprehensive budget. Working through these details upfront allows us to give you an accurate estimate early on.
At the Design Presentation, your project comes to life! Our Designer will work with you to make revisions until you are satisfied with the design and the bottom line. At this point, you move into the Construction Agreement (CA).
CUSTOM BUILDS
When planning a New Build, you will meet with our Architectural Designer to create a custom floor plan that truly fits your lifestyle. Each of our custom homes is designed to meet the specific needs of our clients. Browse our Custom Homes Gallery to view our past builds.
CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT (CA)
SELECTIONS
At this point, you finalize your selections! As a Custom Builder & Remodeler, we are proud to offer an endless variety of options. Our Interior Designer will guide you through choosing the perfect finishes (lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, flooring, cabinets, and more).
BUILDERTREND
You will also receive a Buildertrend (BT) login. BT is an industry-leading online project management system that keeps all the details of your project in one place: invoices, selection approvals, project schedules, and more. Watch this short video to learn more about Buildertrend.
MEET YOUR SITE MANAGER (MSM)
Once your project is through selections and on the schedule, you’ll meet your Site Manager (SM). Your SM will be your point person for all questions, logistics, and scheduling. You will have their personal cell number, so you can contact them at any time. To learn more about our Site Managers, see Our Team page.
CONSTRUCTION
We understand that the construction process can be stressful, so we keep you informed every step of the way with updated schedules and walk-throughs at each completed phase. Here is a sample of the various walk-throughs you will attend with your Site Manager:
- Demo & Framing
- Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC
- Sheetrock & Cabinet Layout
- Hardware - Mirrors, Towel Bars, etc.
- Pre-Final & Final Walk-throughs
At each walk-through, you have the opportunity to approve the work that has been done and ask questions about upcoming phases.
COMPLETION PROCESS
HITTING DEADLINES
Construction has a reputation for extending far beyond deadlines. Our Pre-Final Walkthrough allows you and your Site Manager to finalize a list of the finishing touches necessary to meet your expectations and close out your project properly. Each item is completed before the Final Walk-through, meaning your Final Walk-through is actually final!
MOVING IN
This last stage is our favorite – you get to move in and enjoy your new space! Each Ferguson Builders project comes with a workmanship warranty and our custom homes come with an additional 10-year third-party structural warranty.
